Great inspiration

As Mother's Day is fast approaching, I thought I might share my inspiration.

As I grew up around my mother and grandmother, I think I got a lot of my personality from them. I have always looked up to my grandmother Agnes, who was always a positive and creative person. She was also very busy, co-founding the Brooklyn chapter of AARP and running Hansel and Gretel for a few years. She is probably where I got my entrepreneurial spirit from as well.

My mom has a lot of these same qualities. She is also a creative person. She likes to make sweatshirts for the whole family at Christmas time with our names on them. She has made centerpieces, Easter baskets, wedding favors and more. She also keeps herself busy with planning events for her social club and running a hotel for a ski company every winter (also crabfeasts in the summertime.

I aspire to be like both of these women, and I am grateful for the positive impact they have had on my life.
